For every person who doesn't believe they are ready to see themselves in truth and beautified by photography, I am asking you to read this excerpt. You’ve got it all wrong. You didn’t come here to master unconditional love. That is where you came from and where you’ll return. You came here to learn personal love. Universal love. Messy love. Sweaty love. Crazy love. Broken love. Whole love. Infused with divinity. Lived through the grace of stumbling. Demonstrated through the beauty of… messing up. Often. You didn’t come here to be perfect. You already are. You came here to be gorgeously human. Flawed and fabulous. And then to rise again into remembering. But unconditional love? Stop telling that story. Love, in truth, doesn’t need ANY other adjectives. It doesn’t require modifiers. It doesn’t require the condition of perfection. It only asks that you show up. And do your best. That you stay present and feel fully. That you shine and fly and laugh and cry and hurt and heal and fall and get back up and play and work and live and die as YOU. It’s enough. It’s Plenty.”
- Courtney A. Walsh.
We don't come into the world perfect. Only one child did and he wasn't accepted, not even by his own people so why should we worry about what people think of us if a perfect human was not be accepted by his own community? The love that we have for ourselves should be based on the love that the most amazing and perfect being has for us. If the omniscient, pure and holy God can love us as we are today, then we can certainly love ourselves. It's with that approach that we say, "Make these moments of life memorable!" Create moments in time to revel in the blessing that you've been created in the image of the almighty. Commemorate these times with a beautiful portrait that captures your character and inner beauty.
Crystal and I see photography as an art. The art that we create brings out what you have to give to the world. It shows the light and joy of your inner spirit through creative imagery. Capturing your laughter, smile, energy and emotions on portraits is a testimony to the blessing that you've been given. With the right focus and the right planning, even the most inhibited and reclusive personalities are able to make lasting images that give a feeling of encouragement. This isn't about pride, but instead, it is about uplifting hope.
